VISION

To be recognized as an organization that develops and disseminates projects that contribute to the valorization of the individual and to social transformation.

OUR HISTORY

2004: The beginning

In 2004, after two fires struck the Águas Espraiadas community, volunteers from the Presbyterian Church and the Alliance took in dozens of affected children. What was intended as a temporary shelter for a few days turned into months of shared experiences, revealing the need to promote genuine transformation in the lives of those boys. With the support of Clube Paulistano, the Geração Vida Nova Project was born, which found in sports—especially soccer—a way to take children off the streets, offering new opportunities, relationships, and hope for the future.

2007-2011: Transformations

Between 2007 and 2011, the Project achieved important recognition and partnerships. It received the TOP SOCIAL award, the CMDCA seal, and OSCIP certification from the Ministry of Justice. It also established partnerships with public bodies and social projects, expanding its activities, strengthening fundraising, and structuring its financial area to continue transforming lives.

2016: Capacity Building Projects

In 2016, the Instituto Muda Brasil created the Jovem Aprendiz Muda Brasil program, helping hundreds of young people enter the job market. New professional training projects were also developed, including the FUSSESP center, offering apprenticeship, vocational guidance, and ethical and professional preparation. After almost 15 years of operation, the Institute remains steadfast in its mission to transform lives and expand opportunities for all.

2006: New Life Generation Project

In 2005, new partnerships with the São Paulo City Hall's Clube Escola program and local businesses led to the expansion of the work, and in an old warehouse near the favela, hundreds of families from the community began to be served. The program then encompassed other forms of activity, including arts and entertainment, gradually winning the hearts and trust of the local community. In 2006, the institute was officially established.

2012: Recognitions

In 2012, the Project changed its name to Instituto Muda Brasil and began its expansion to new regions, such as Interlagos (SP) and Nioaque (MT). During this period, it also expanded its social projects in the areas of sports and professional training. In 2013, it earned the COMAS seal, granted by the City of São Paulo, recognizing its social work.

2020: Challenges overcome

In 2020, facing the challenges of the pandemic, the Instituto Muda Brasil had to reinvent itself to adapt to the new scenario. It began offering vocational courses and socio-educational programs online, while continuing to support underprivileged families and communities in Greater São Paulo, addressing the most urgent needs of that period.
